Sister's Chocolate Cake

This is my sister's chocolate cake recipe! It is my favorite chocolate cake I have ever had- I know you will love it too.

Cook Time 20 minutes
Total Time 1 hour 30 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Sugar
  • cups Flour
  • ¾ cup Baking Cocoa
  • tsp Baking Powder
  • tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ½ cup Vegetable Oil Substatute: Olive or Coconut Oil
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract or Paste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350℉
  • Mix dry ingredients together (flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, salt)
  • In a seperate bowl, mix the wet ingredients together (sugar, eggs, milk, oil, vanilla extract/paste).
  • Combine dry & wet ingredients.
  • After dry & wet ingredients are mixed, add 1 cup of boiling hot water. The consistency should be like soup.
  • Add cake mix to a pan that has been sprayed with non-stick spray.
  • Bake for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, test with toothpick or fork. If it is not completely cooked through, continue to cool in 5 minute increments unitl done.
  • Let cool for 20-25 minutes before serving.
