Cozy Hot Chocolate Recipe
Granddad's Hot Chocolate
Ingredients
- ½ cup Granulated Sugar
- ¼ cup Hershey's Cocoa Powder
- ⅛ tsp Salt Substitute: Sea Salt
- ¾ tsp Vanilla Bean Paste
- 4 cups Whole Milk Substitute: Oat Milk
- ⅓ cup Hot Water
- Marshmallows or Whipped Cream Toppings
Instructions
- Stir sugar, cocoa, and salt in a bowl. Pour into pot.
- Once combined, stir in hot water. Turn pot to medium heat. Stir constantly until this mixture comes to a boil. Let boil for 2 minutes.
- Add milk. Stir constantly, but bring the temperature to low. At this point, DO NOT BOIL.
- Let the Hot Chocolate cool until ready to serve.
- Top with desired toppings.
